In addition to the computer instruction offered in school by our
Booster Club funded Specialist, Jenny Meyer, there are also after school
computer programs available to children for a fee.
Courses do change, so check with the school office for after-school course registration information.

Welcome
back to school! I hope that you are
all as excited about the new school year as I am.
I’ve been working on some new curriculum for After-School Computer
Enrichment Classes to expand your kids’ knowledge on the computers and to
spark their creativity.
I
am again offering the Introduction to Keyboarding class for first and second
graders to improve their typing skills, as well as the Game Creation class for
the upper grades. In addition, there
will be a Choose Your Own Adventure digital storybook-creating class for third
through fifth graders with the Stagecast Creator software that was introduced to
Roscomare last year. Finally, there
will be a Fun with Microsoft Publisher class specifically for the second and
third graders who are interested in learning more about designing fonts and
creating printable projects.
As
always when enrolling for after-school classes, speed is of the essence.
Classes are offered on a first-come first-serve basis and popular classes
are often filled within the first day. So
if your child is interested in taking one of these classes, act fast!
Please remember that classes are for enrolled students only—relatives,
siblings, and friends will not be allowed inside the lab during class unless it
has been cleared ahead of time. Please
talk to me if you have a carpool situation or other questions.
